Skateboarding?

I've looked around at some of the older skating thread's and none of them seem to really stick around or really have anything on them. So with that said, do many of you skate? And if you do where do you skate and what do you skate?

My friend left his skate board at my house a while ago and I've been using that for a little while and I learned a bunch of 180s both ways like nollie 180 fakie 180 switch 180 and just regular 180. And pop shuv nollie pop shuv and fakie pop shuv but I haven't learned kick flips yet or anything. I haven't had any help from anyone because I've just skate boarded in my driveway when I was bored

Definitely plenty of older still relevant threads. Oh well, this one will be deleted in an hour or so.

i skate alot. We mostly go to skateparks around our area but sometimes ill sesh some street shit usually behind a building

I use to skate a lot in the summer but Ive only gone to the park once when I was bored out of my mind. I use a Riot board a friend gave me. Usually I go to the local parks if Im gonna just have fun, I prefer doing street skating but there arent many good places around unless I go to Boston which I really wanna do so I mess around on the mini ramps or little 3' quarter pipes and then slide around on the ledges. Maybe Ill go again soon

Yeee. Deathwish 8.25 deck. Skate pretty much everywhere I need to go. Slc' has some sick spots downtown and up around the U. Other than that you can catch me at Rosewood or 9th and 9th. I like to skate banks, pole jams. trying to learn wallrides atm and get better at tranny, cuz tranny is the shit.

I got a cruiser this summer just for riding and I love it.

actual skating is too hard. so much work to land tricks that aren't that fun or impressive looking, for me anyways.

I skate more or less every day in the summer, its a really fun way to get injured every second week or so.

Not anymore. Was trying to get back into it but these last head injuries I think I'm done.

Was mostly mini ramps and bowls. Bummers that theres this whole rebirth or crete and I'm not skating it.

That said I might rebuild my garage mini and take a spin or two.

I lived in a super super rural area. Classified as frontier. Not many places to skate. No stair sets. Not even that many paved lots to skate. Skated a post office loading dock but the cops would get called and weren't cool about it. Mostly just road bmx.

Love seeing new parks popping up though. Wish more allowed bikes but a decent amount do.

Keep skating

Tried skating first and it was fun as hell

Tried skiing a couple years later and skiing is so much better

Tru, but not all of us can ski all year round. Even if I could though skating is still fun, and it supplements free time whenever the lifts aren't spinning.

I can't ski all year but I work to pay for my season so skating doesn't really fit any more

I'm honestly not trying to down talk your point whatsoever because sure I understand, but I work to pay for my school, car shit, season pass, and pretty much everything else.

I still try and skate as much as I can, if you wanna skate you'll skate. Just how people make time to ski because they want to ski!
