This belongs on ski gabber because it's about style but anyways does skating actually affect ones style. If so, how?

I don't know maybe you know go out and actually see for yourself if it affects it... not asking NS stupid as fuck questions.

CLayton's skiing is heavily influenced by skating....he said it himself in some intreview i forget

thats why he blunts so much on skis

i think so. the best skaters keep a quiet upper body and flow and can fire off hard tricks like it is nothing.

I think it helps change your perspective on ways to hit features and helps with balance/coordination... skating is way harder than skiing, in my opinion.

Even just watching skate/snowboard/surf/whatever videos gives you new ideas to take to skiing, so I'm sure it has an effect on style at some point.

I started skating before skiing (freestyle at least) and I definitely find it affects me. I had the biggest issue with poles when I started cause I like having loose arms. Keeping a relaxed upper body is huge in skateboarding so I find it crosses over to. It affects your trick selection a bit to.

Great example of skateboarding style:

i think skating affects my trick selection and riding style, skateboarders always do some really creative shit and it gets me really stoked and later i try to do something like that while skiing.
