Skateboarding, rollerblading or scootering?

id love seeing the people saying blading is easy skate and actually do shit. Your crazy. There is not much room for error when you try to lock in grinds and you can fall hard, you cant hop off the board to save yourself.

and yea maybe i gotta see some skateparks in buffalo sure its hardcore compared to NYC where i skate.

too each their own but i find it funny how people say it looks gay when it looks really similar to skiing. And they share a lot of tricks.

Snowboarders skateboarding makes a lot more sense.

Who the fuck designed that thing and though "Hmm this is a great idea"

Two wheels in the front? Because balance is so tough on a scooter and loosing your balance is oh so dangerous.

well when you're busting moves like that...

Why is rollerblading lame?

exactly. it's closer to skiing. if you ski then why is it lame? we should openly welcome and treasure this sport on ns.

It just blows my mind that people can think 'hah itz dum cuz its dum lol.' Seriously? Those scooterers or bladers or skaters who you are making fun of are probably enjoying themselves way more that you because they do something for the love of it, not because someone else thinks that its 'cool'

Rollerblading is like aggressive running with wheels, it's easy and gay as hell. At least the skaters trying to kickflip are doing something difficult. That's entirely false too there's so many skateboarders that rip, in fact I'd say a smaller majority are the kids who don't and I skate a lot even work at a skateshop so I see a lot of kids. Rollerblading is right up there with scootering ya damn fruit booter. Sack up and buy a skateboard rollerblading was cool when I was ten. And also 95% of snowboarders suck? That's a pretty bold claim too cause lost of those dude slay.

I think someone is alittle butthurt

Hahaha butt hurt fruit booters.

I just fail to see your logic. Explain it to me. Rollerblading is stupid because it's rollerblading? Also using gay as a derogatory adjective? I thought we were past that.

I used to have that mindset where it was like fuck skateboarding, its too late to learn and blading is way more fun. But then I just started a couple winters ago and it has to be one of the best things going for me right now. There's no better feeling than landing a trick you worked weeks for, its not comparable

I rollerblade cause the diplomats endorse it

JK though i started because I saw an edit on herehttp://vimeo.com/7664766 it seemed like a cool thing to do over the summer and I thought I would be ok at it because I skied, so i picked up some cheap razors and hitting the rails I had built for skiing, and a branch of Shop-Task, a rollerblading store opened in my town, I met the crew of dudes that own the shop and started getting into it more and found the scene in calgary, I do it now just as much or more than I ski. All my friends are skateboarders but they are all down with rollerblading and I don't really get any hate, the only place I ever hear it is online.

Went to the store today. While there, saw a guy who had to be in his 30's pushing a blacked out Razor scooter with grinding pegs on the back. Needless to say he looked like he had been single for a very long time.

i've been skating for a few years now but just bought my first pair of rollerblades and they're so damn fun even though i can't do much yet.

LOL that pic of the blader is hilarious!

i rollerblade. Skateboarding is cool but like snowboarders 95% of them suck so bad an spend the whole day attempting to land 1 kick flip

scooters well. cmon. too easy to make fun of. If you do that just off yourself

I snowboard and scooter and I take offense to that

Agreed.

How about no?

Yes.

You seem a lot more butthurt than any of the rollerbladers on here, explain your stance without just saying it's rollerblading?

As a guy who hasn't ever really rollerbladed, which ones should I get? Im considering getting some, and want em to be nice but not too expensive. I think Ill be pretty good at it cause I used to play hockey.

Taj sounds like a 5 year old girl or its a really lame attempt at being funny. At least try to explain yourself like someone who dont wet the bed at night.

MMJ- If i were you i would buy some used "good" skates rather then cheap new ones. I wish i did

I started with these rollerblade brand ones- cheap and work ok but once i bought awesome skates it made a hell of a difference

but rollerblade brand was like $170 and my new Razors were $375 customized.

these are the new ones i got last year

I dont understand how people can survive on CO frames. I tried some of my buddies last year, went for a topsoul on my backyard box, and the Rail slipped out of the groove immediately. After 3 or 4 times of this happening, I switched back to my normal frames.

Not really relevant, just thought I should say it.

In all seriousness here, rollerblading isn't the hardest thing in the world. At windells it took me all of three days to start sessioning the mini ramp and dropping in switch. I loved it though, it was incredibly fun and if I ever get a pair of blades for myself in the future I'm sure I'll have a blast. A couple weeks ago I picked up skateboarding and it's fucking hard. The learning curve is difficult to say the least but it is really fun once you grasp the basics. Overall I'd say skateboarding is the coolest of the three but I won't trash rollerblading because it is really fun. And haha scootering.

Used to skate but didn't commit enough time to it so never got any good. Got some rollerblades and even tho I suck and don't use theme allot they are so much fun! Great way to get some ski stoke out of your system off season. Also I feel like they can help allot to your skiing especially since you get used to not landing backseat which helps allot if you got problems shin banging while skiing.

I would have to disagree. Doing stuff on the miniramp is basic, and that is what you should aim for in the first three days. The real challenge comes when you have to start doing different grinds. Inline is more than just sliding on your h-block, you need to learn all the basic grinds, reg and top, ally-oop and true, zero, half, and full cab. When you learn all of those, in the mini, and street/ park, then you should be able to judge how hard it is. Spoiler: Its not easy.

Exactly. I just started true top negatives and easy is not a word I would use to describe them. At all

Blading cuz they named all the tricks the same and you can do the same tricks pretty much! Second to that is bmx... skateboarding third..
