I'm a noob, anyone wanna give a brief explanation on how this is done?

I'm working on something kind of like this right now.

The top one is literal magazine or photo cutouts set up in that way. Each time they move its a new shot and each shot is only on the screen for a fraction of a second.

The second one I'm not entirely sure if the background is cartoon or real or what. Could be the same way as above or could be that they masked out around the skater and overlayed it? Maybe someone else knows better

Also you will want to turn off Autoplay on the videos you can get in trouble for it.

Wow that would be soo much work. Props to them for taking the time to make such sick videos.
