Skateboard Thread

People hate on Nike SB, but honestly their shoes are on another level. I’ve skated in Vans, DC shoes, and even New Balances, and My Nike blazer lows have outlasted all of them.

Haha I've never actually been to Hawaii but I watched a video the other day of Jamie O'Brien skating it and knew it looked familiar. It's a short walk from his Pipeline house.

The latest skateboard photo is awesome! But I wouldn't buy one for myself. And if we talk about skateboard shoes I want to ask what kind of shoes do you wear? I'm looking for comfortable shoes that don't restrict movement. And I read that many skateboarders wear sneakers that are flexible. So I found a blog https://getvegan.com/ where you can read an article about vegan skate shoes. Do you think these shoes are comfortable for skateboarding or do you have other suggestions? I will appreciate any of your advice and feedback.

I started when I was 20 and did it for 2 years then stopped because of a sore knee, ran out of money so had to get a job (on and off NEET at the time), then went into uni. Now I'm 25 and went to the skato for the first time in three years. So good to be skating again. Before I stopped, I could do all four ollies as in normal switch fakie nollie, all eight 180s, some pop shuvits, FS50-50, and some tricks on the mini. I probably progressed more than most people would since I didn't get into to uni so I had nothing to do other than skate back then. But now my life is just studying and trying to get my bad knee strong. Hopefully I can start progressing like I used to eventually.
 
Went skating today. Felt really good. Realy sketchy at first but really good.

I moved to WA last year and was living an hour from the neareat skatepark and there are 2. One is terrible and the other is smooth but terribly designed and crowded.

Between that and the weather i stopped going much. I did a 2 week road trip in may and hit a bunch of parks and started feeling good again but then didn't skate all summer at hood.

Anyway I think i hit one park for 20 min and that's all ive skated since that may road trip.

Was bambi leg vibes and out of shape. Lega were so jellowy. But felt good when i started picking up speed around the bowl. Not very fast but it just felt good to go fast enough to keep the carves going.

I've missed skateboarding. Hoping to get out more this winter. My boss is pretty sick and were working together for october rebuilding rails. Working days so hoping to get out a couple times a week to better parks on days off or after work. And then hopefully will get out more through the winter.

When you don't skate for a long time and were never that good, its hard. But god damn it feels good.

Hope you're all having a good summer and rolling around a bit!

Said fuck it started dropping in again and hauling ass mid sesh. Felt so fucking good. I knee it was there but its hard.

I started skating at 30. So im not that confident. But i can go fast around a bowl. I suck at grinds and lip tricks unkess mini ramp but felt good to go fast.

That’s a vibe, I spent the entire summer skating street and plaza’s. Came back to Bozeman and went to the mini-bowl downtown and could legit not keep a line going longer than a couple minutes, need to get back on that grind big time.

I like that mini park there. It's small but it's fun. I passed up hitting a few skate parks on the way through oregon yesterday because I felt weird and anxious :( Sometimes it's hard to show up and skate aith a bunch of randoms in a new place when you're not that good.

Hoping to get out more this fall though.
