Skateboard on airline

alright, so im flying out to colorado tomorrow and im having a bit of a baggage issue

i have a bag for my equipment and clothes, a backpack, a camera case and a skateboard

i cant fit my skate into my bag without taking my trucks off and i cant find my skate tool ANYWHERE, so im wondering does anybody know if they will let you check a skateboard just on its own? like just throw a tag on the trucks and put it in checked luggage?

the other alternative would be to check my camera case and theres no way i have enough trust in any airline to do that

nah dude. just strap it on your pack or put it in between your pack and your back and you can bring it on as carry on. i do it every time i fly

the problem is, you can only bring one carry on bag(my backpack) and one "small personal item" (my camera case)

i think at least

if im wrong then good news

youll be fine just taking it on. i flew to hood, and brought a backpack, my board, and my skiboots, board strapped on, boots tosed over my shoulder. you should have no problem. also if the airline is that strict, you can gate check thigns if they tell you to.

right, but as ive said my one personal item is the camera.
nevermind though, i think i got it sorted out, im just gonna strap it onto the pack and see how they feel about that
