Alright this is the 1st summer that i dont play competiv soccer, or go out west, so i desided to take up skatebording. The most i know about it tho is what ever u lern from playing tony hawk, so any suggestions on a good set up i can get thats not to pricy. i dont want all the best shit, just sumthing that is good to start on

most shops have their own boards that kick some serious ass. there less expensive i think .and if you go to their camps you can get deals and stuff like that.

just get a blank or something to start with, and learn all your basics and get them down pat before you do the flippy shit, because i see too many kids trying to flip their board and shit when they can't even ollie moving, let alone skate down the street or something

Yeah blank decks are the way to go. They are cheap and are just as good as lot of the big name boards. Once you go through a few decks, you will then know what you are looking for in a deck. Try to stay away from 'sportmart' boards because they suck, at everything. Just go to a local skateshop and just tell them what you want. Most places will get you all setup with a pretty good ride at a pretty good price. Or just use some online skateshops, if you know what you want.

you better buy blanks, pros are pointless, and don't get your deck too big, depending on your shoe size, i have size 10 skate shoes, i ride 7.5' wide, so if you haver like size11-12 get 7 3/4 or aroudn there and just get blank wheels, bearings -- well its your decision there get reds, and also for trucks its your decision on what you want,
