Skate 2 sucks

alright so i just got the demo and i was deeply dissapointed.

1. the whole game is way slower than the first, making it over all lamer and not as exciting.

2. i went off a huge jump, somehow did a beanplant, put my footout and stopped all my momentum and landed it, im sorry, but i thought i was playing skate 2, not tony hawk.

3. the guy that talks, and films, to you throughout the whole skate 1 is animated as a sketchy 40 year old bald guy, dude wtf.

4. I went up to a dumpster 10 times bigger than and dragged it across with ease, hmm thats realistic.

5. I always thought not being able to walk off your board in the first game was frustrating, but now that i see the kid you play as can't walk in the first place, if you try to change his direction let alone stop its like your on ice.

6. I thought I was playing the Force Unleashed as random rails started falling over for me to inconviniently pick up and my board flew to my side when i pressed Y.

over all the new tricks are alright but the new game sucks complete ass.

yea i kinda agree like i like skate cuase its so realisitic but u can do some unrealistic stuff that is kinda realistic if that makes any sense. butttt skate 2 i thought was pretty sick kinda anoying how u cant spin a 3 easily anymore or 1's that good and big spins off jumps but i think rails are better than they were and im sure itll be sicker once i get the game and start playing
 
i personally love it. i think the graffics and physics are perfect but your right, it is definatly alot more tony hawkish.
 
Seriously? That would suck ass if you couldn't move stuff because it was bigger than you. The skateboarding is supposed to be realistic. It isn't a game about moving stuff.
 
Wu-tang, the object movement isn't really a big deal to me but i think the overall realistics of the skating has gotten worse, and i think thats what made skate 1 so good
 
I rented skate 1 and was obsessed with it for about a week, beet it and took it back. it was a great game.

and I was planning on buying skate 2. oh well, I probably still will buy it. or is it that bad?
 
Ive been skating for about 7 years now and i must disagree, yes its slower, making it more realistic, they just added some tricks that were left out. the ollie norths are steezy as hell. The fact that you can move objects opens the game up so much more, who cares "heavy" the shit might be, that dumpster could be empty. The fact that you can fall on a trick and just land on your feet is more realistic. Now you cant spin like crazy unlike skate 1 where i could do 1080s... The grinds are 100x smoother in skate 2. Really quit your bitching this game is bomb.
 
The walking system is retarded but that nothing man the game si sick the level is sick the new physic is more realistic

sure there still some glitchs but man it's still a sick addictive game and I will buy it friday
