Size of skis

my skis are 155 afterbangs i got them for cheap on ebay this is why there not my right size will my performance be affected much im about 5foot 12

155s are WAY, WAY too small for someone who is 6'

You should have the longest length of Afterbang, and may even be suited to something longer, 178+, depending on your weight and ability
 
1) They'll be really twitchy on rails. Because they're so short, they'll be very unstable and unforgiving. You'll almost certainly find it hard to lock on, and a lot harder to balance than on the 177

2)They'll be overly responsive on groomers and inruns. Because of the shorter turn radius, they'll over compensate for what you actually want to do.

3)Less surface area to land on => increased chances of eating shit on jumps

4)No butter-ability. Short length will make it impossible to butter

5)Less pop. You'll have to pop extra hard when jumping on to features

6)Other park riders will tease you for having childrens' skis.
 
To be honest, you'd be best off selling or returning if possible, then buying 178cm or longer.
 
Yeah its a good deal if your 5ft 2, im from the UK as well and there are loads of the 155 Abangs. Its for a reason, they are way too short for most people.

There are some good deals around on other similar skis, like invaders and anthems, in 178s that you can pick up for similar money. Ski Bartlett has Anthems and Invaders for 180 and 150, or theres a site selling this years anthems with jesters for 250, (demo condition but only 3 days on them)

Ill find you the link if your interested, but honestly your gonna have a shit time on those things you might as well buy ski blades, im 6'1 and have 178 anthems and they feel small but I can get by, but you want something 177 minimum.

 
Yeah, Bartlett has a ton of previous seasons' skis for dirt cheap. I picked up a pair of 08 Chronics for 160 GBP, just because they're so damn cheap.
