Size of powder skis

Hey ns, ive got kinda problem with lenght of powder skis. My lenght is 195cm (6,3ft) and everyvody is saying that the right lenght is +10cm of your height.But i have never seen skis longer than 193cm. So i wanna know if it is a big problem to have skis with same lenght as my height. If there is a noticable controling difference...

Im buying powder skis for first time, so i will appericiate your advices and experience.

Buy a pair of Praxis Protest's, they come in a 198 (I think). Or just get 195 JJ's. There's plenty of skis that are 193+.

Hey man, a lot of it's going to depend on your weight. I'm over 6'5 but not super heavy and have used a few pow skis between 190-195 that have still had plenty of float and stability. That being said, there's still longer skis out there as others have mentioned. The Faction CT 3.0's are made all the way up to 204cm. Its only 108mm waist so not a true pow ski but definitely a good all terrain option.

it doesnt have to be +10 over your head. how heavy are you? what kind of style skiing do you like to do, and what kind of skis? you will almost certainly be happy with a ski in the mid 190s

okay so that's what like 165lbs....not very heavy, certainly not for your size. id say you def dont need something +10 over your head. if youre worried about it opt for something stiffer with more effective edge but i dont think even that is necessary unless your biggest concern is chargin hard and layin down huge turns in serious terrain
