yeh so i was looking at the new puffy jacket by siver and it looks amazing then i looked at how many mm waterproof it was and it was disappointed cause it is only 1000. would it be ok to ski in and how quickly would i get wet if i did ski in it?
since it's a puffy it's pretty thick so you won't get wet to fast, but the fabric will basiclly not resist the water at all so you outside of the jacket with be completely soaked if your skiing wet snow
a little, but the down doesn't get wet. i was in really wet snow though. my buddy was wearing his oakley puffy while with me and it was about the same.
yeah the shell get damp on mine but the down has never gotten wet in my puffy. only time i have heard of it is when you have a rip and water seps in, or if you skiing a full day in the rain maybe then.

What the hell do you go to the hill for, a fashion show? You guys are worse than snowboarders. Buy a jacket that feels nice and is cheap enough that you don't have to sneak twenties from your mom's purse for a year to get it.
If you have to reply, why not learn english first? And when you define 'sick' as 'skogen sprang and mike nick get paid to wear it dude!!!' you're ignoring the fact that it is exactly the fucking same as every other ski jacket made in the last 5 years, just more expensive.
if down gets wet, youre out of luck cause down doesnt insulate when its wet. i have a cheap down jacket tha ti got second hand and it works well on really cold, dry days
