what bode does is to take advantage of the turn shape and overall lay out of the course to gain speed, but what does bode do half the time, dnf. so its a gamble that can pay off.
as for the original post. very well said. especialy about how leaning foward gains more speed. ie more areodynamic, and more control/speed retainment while turning, although you may not need to turn in a drop in. being foward elimnates the need to pull your self up and set up your balance for your jump, which while in the process of getting up you do shave off speed.
