I know we used to have a few hosted here or something. But I think with all the people randomly being bored on the forums, why not give them an arcade to get high scores around and compete against other NSers, and maybe even a nice casino for blackjack, roulette, texas hold em... and if you run our of an allotted 500 or something, you can get money by posting, giving karma, receiving karma, making good threads... who knows. Just ideas I like, maybe you can take into consideration.
 
you've never been bored on NS after you've replied to all the threads, or checked everything you wanted to see? What then? Go to a different site I guess, unless you're like me, and other people I guess, who just tend to wander around back here every 30 minutes or so. I'm not saying throw up a hole nothing game site, I'm saying, put up a few popular ones. Tetris, snake, asteroids, space invaders... you can test your skill on simple java games against NS, or the population of NS who might check it out every once in a while... which, out of the 355 members online might now, could add up to be a tough competition.

I got the idea from another forum...well, plenty of forums who do the same thing, but we have the magnitude of bored teenagers on this site to make it work very well I think. Another site comparable to this volume I think is where I got the idea, and it's its first day today on it, and it seems to be working very well... mods, or anyone else, the site it www.sportbikes.net the forums on there have links to an arcade section, and a casino section (where I got wooped in poker). Just check it out, and if it's too much work to throw into the site, or it's a bad idea... fine. If you like it, even better.
 
i think that would be a good idea. i get bored sometimes on this site and just play like the quarterpipe or rail game on the site but they definetly get old fast.

this site isnt for 12 year olds...

and games would just attract younger people..
 
you kidding me? what do you consider younger? lol, I'm on a forum, that sportbike one I posted up a few posts back full of people all older than 16, usually mid20s playing each other in texas hold em, and competing in tetris... I'm 19 and I'd be all over that.
 
The average video game player in the US is in their 30's. I forget what survey that came from.

It might be nifty for the summer.

 
i like the idea about games if you get a high score then u get liek a trophy in your profile or somethin like that. It will probably eliminate useless threads because thoese kids will be to busy competing for glory.

haha, thats a good idea, but i think they are concentrating more on the video competitions, but if they used your idea with the video competitions it would be sick
