Anyone know of a site where you can type in a band and then get smiller bands?

Another vote for cdnow.com. Search for an artist and you can see their most popular albums or choose from their whole range. On each album's page you can see similar bands in the 'Customers who bought this title also bought...' section.

 
amazon.com is the best site for that shit. plus they have listmania. and almost every band is on amazon.
