Sisters Gymnastics Limits my Ski Season.

Alright , so when ever i wanna go to like a comp or some thing a couple hours which i would need to stay in a hotel or something my parents say that we dont have the money right?

Well my sister is a competetive Gymnast that trains 5 days a week and her tuition in $700 every damn month!

Really fair huh? My parents say that if i was involved in a club or something like that i could get to travel and stuff also. I tell them that i am in the IFSA as a competitive skier and they just say or thats not a club or any thing.

Wtf this is some shit what you think?
 
hmmmm... maybe you could get a job to pay for skiing expenses. If youre too young to get a job then the only option would be to.. actually i dont have anything. good luck though maybe its just the olympics that has them all about your sister. could be different next year
 
kinda the same situation with me and my sister she horseback rides and when i want a new setup after 3 years i get shut down, whatever it happens
 
it doesn't sound like her gymnastics is limiting your skiing it just sound like you are jealous that your parents spend more on her sport
 
the club thing is bs but...

her getting preference depends on alot

if shes 18 and training for the olympics and ur 15 and working on backflips then she should get preference

but if its the other way around then u shud

my grandma paid $30,000 a year for my sister to go to boarding school (when my grandma lives half an hour away and my sister didn't even get into a university)

when i have to work 50+ hrs a week to pay my own tution, rent, etc.

just tell your parent that its not fair, and explain to them how you feel about the club thing.
 
happens a lot in my family, "mom or dad can i have some money to go to whistler with to pay for bus and lift tickets" "nope" and my sister plays top level ringette and hockey and goes to tournaments across canada like 5 a year which all cost around 3000 each plus the cost of her gear and team stuff, but nah 100$ for a day in whistler is to much for them
 
wai wait wait it actually does happen in my family...cuz my sister does club trakc and always gets to travel to far places and sometimes i can't even get a ride up skiing...actually this was before i got my car...but same concept
 
Get a job unloading trucks at walmart. 2-8 5 days a week, pays 16 an hour at my walmart. It is hard, but that is 480 a week. Living with your parents that is alot of money...
 
u sound a little jealous but its alright. just wait for ur sister to start gettin into fights with ur parents. then like an hour or so after be like "hey theres a comp i wanna be in (wherever), and i was wondering if u could front some cash so i could go."

now as the older guy in the family. (i assume that its only u and ur sister). ur dad might be the one to talk to for the cash.

it works for me every time that i need money for gas, movies, and other shit. but i've never tried it on anything over like 60 bucks. but hey it might work.

While i sat there buying my own equipment, paying for my lift tickets, memberships, w/e, my parents were paying $10000+ for my sister to dance, they buy her an 08 mazda 3, while she does dick all for my parents. What do i get from my dad? "You should save up and buy a VW minibus, then i'll help you fix it up". Hooray
 
that sucks then. i remember like 2 years ago i was in the same position, my sister would be able to do anything, and i was all like wtf. but then i got a car, and was never home, and when i was home my rents and sister were always fighting. so i was all like hey i wonder if i could get some cash, and sure enough it worked. but now i don't have a job so there all like get a job.
 
I used to play ringette.. but I was really bad at it. haha

but yeah, that sucks. in my family we get the same amount of money, but I guess we get treated differently.
 
Put drugs in your sisters food right before her next gymnastics comp. Then she gets banned from gymnastics because of the drug tests, AND your parents will prefer you!
 
same here my sister and brother get to go to camp for the summer which is like 10,000 for fucken 2 months and they go on like huge trips to florida and shit its rediculous and that costs extra and watnot and i have to work, and all i wanted to do was go to sass which wouda been like 3,4000 tops
 
forget about your sister and worry about yourself save money for a car and to go to the hills theres always a way
