Sir francis bacons for park?

I bought a pair of 09 sir francis bacons for a very good price and was planning on mounting them centre and using them as a fat park ski to fuck around on since we have very few pow days. Do you fuckers think i should just sell them or will it be good? I know there are a number of threads on these skis but i couldn't find a good answer.
 
personally, i would sell them for a pair of park skis, and a pair of like all around skis..

but im sure they wouls kick ass in the park.. pollard uses them just fine
 
if i were you i would keep them and mount the -2 from true center. that way they will be good in park,pow,and all mountain
 
Mount them -2 from center. Use them for everything. They will be the most fun ski in whatever type of skiing your doing...unless your ziplining moguls or straddling gates. Seriously, give them a chance! You'll feel bad for your other skis when you notice the only ski your using for everything is the Bacon.
 
Thanks guys. I will probably take that advice and mount them -2 or -1 but has anyone skied on a pair mounted center because i take trips out west a couple times a year and we never get good pow here.
 
I would definately keep mine. My 09 Bacons came in two weeks ago. They're so sexy. I'm sure you'll love them. I'm gonna jump mine in the park but I'm staying away from rails and anything that isn't snow.
 
i have seths mounted true center and they are primarily my pow skis. they are fine, but i have to lean back a bit more.
 
no lets just be real here. fat skis are fun in the park once in a while. I used my Madens for a few runs in the park last year and it was fun for a little bit. but in all honestly its like taking a downhill bike to a pump track. youre just limiting yourself.
 
pick up something like a scratch brigade, i think that is the model that is comparable to the old yellow and black scratch bc wrs, the bc wrs is really fun in the park and still tears up the hole mountain. i use it at mammoth and it is perfect when we get a little dump like a foot they r amazingly fun, i can take the gondola up to the top, and rip down through some steep pow and then i like to pop around and ski switch down the groomer and then i can sesh some park and jump right back on the gondola. its amazingly versatile
 
i would get park skis if i were you. my bacons feel quite heavy when im in the park and i have more fun on lighter skis if im just in the park. although the bacons are still fun, you cant really get technical at all
 
I have hellbents and i like skiing them in the park and all mountain on the east much more than my pipecleaners. but it really depends on your style, if you want to be throwing 9s and stuff like that than you should most likely sell them but if you want to slow spin some 1s 3s and 5s than go for the bacons...
 
I had Bacons centermounted as my park ski this year. Kicked ass. Don't sell them for something skinny. Skinny skis are for east coast nancy boys still learning how to make french fries.
 
haha, while fat skis are very fun i dont know how much weight seans word on fat skis would hold for you, i think his philosophy sort of forces him to ride fat skis, even if he didnt like them.

"tight pants, wide stance, fat skis, skinny bitches" im pretty sure this is a code he lives by
 
well i really dig the slow spins and try not to worry about being too tech. thanks for the advice everyone, i still have what feels like forever before the season starts so who knows what will come my way ski wise. i will probably give them a go though.
 
i rode mine in the park alot last year. they were mounted -2 but i would have really liked them to be mounted center. they were alot of fun, a whole lot of fun.
 
i plan to be saying the same thing this winter.

to the thread creator, definitely give them a go in the park!
 
I think its dumb, i know fat skis might be fun in park. but if you only ski park why wouldn't you have a park specific ski? If you want fat sell them and get the elizebeths
