sir francis bacon was a real guy during the Enlightenment. he was a painter and scientist and believed that all problems could be solved through physical experimenting. he also helped to solidify the scientific theory. and then he invented skis.
Don't center mount 'em. It makes it a lot more work to ski in deep snow. Put them back a few cm and you'll still have plenty of tail for landing switch is pow but more tip to stay up in deep snow.
I have the bacons and mounted them at the recommended site. They are amazing in all conditions and ski switch through pow like nothing. I would see no reason to mount them any other place.
I mounted my goats a little forward. but def not center. The only pow ski that I would mount center is the prophet 130, b/c your going to float no matter what.
