Single ski donation

My brother was in a boating accident a year and a half ago, and lost his leg at the hip-- but he's already been killin it this season. He's dropping little cliffs, cruisin switch down groomers, and trying to do as much as he can on one ski.

There have to be people out there who have broken one ski and still have the other one sitting around-- still in good shape. Just wanted to see if anyone would be willing to donate a single ski to someone who can use it.

Wow, major props to him, it must be super tough dealing with that loss so well. I'll send a ski your way if I ever get my hands on one for sure. What you might want to consider is the disabled racers. If your bros fairly good, he could be looking at going to the paralympics in a few years, and then he gets paid to ski full time.

wow. thanks for all the replies. I really appreciate the help. He's super fast-- I'm trying to talk him in to getting in to the race scene, but right now he enjoys skiing the deep snow a lot better. I'll check out the TGR thread.

I have a 2009 Line chronic, its dull and a little beat up, a crack in the edge. If he wants to ride around on next years ski he totally deserves it

I have a set of 172cm madtrix skis, never seen a rail, basically new bases. A coach driver slammed the cargo door on one ski a year ago and took out the edge, so I have one great condition ski. It has been mounted 3 times with tyrolia ff17s, just cause the guy who had them before me didnt like his center mount, re-drilled, and didnt like the ski.

i dont have skis to donate but i've got a friend with one leg and he absolutely shreds on his one ski. its amazing how hes become so accustomed to it. he hits jumps and boxes and keeps on with everyone. props to him and props to your brother too since it was a recent accident and probably extremely devastating. dont treat these guys any different but hook him up with some ski(s)!

man, a smart ski company would get involved with donating to people like this -- with all the broken pairs they get back on warranty (I know some send out the good single to replace people's broken one...). But you should ask around...
