the photography/filminh in that movie is absolutely incredible. They did an amazing job on it.

sin city is unbelievable - easily best movie of 2005.

^holy shit you should've fucking seen it in theares dude it is the best movie I have ever seen. the editing was soo sick. I thought it surpassed fight club.

I don't think that it actually surpasses Fight Club in a sense, as Fight Club was more original with its story and had better acting.

Sin City was remarkable because it followed the storyline of the books to the letter, the angles by an inch and the characters are such good choices too. But think about it, Sin City has a little too much voiceover. Still it's an amazing movie that I love, but Fight Club, I......won't even start to explain.

^Im sorry but for me, Fight club made me tingle all throughout my body, and Sin City made me tingle all throughout my body and my MIND. Sin City had cooler shots in my opinion. Right Club is right up there though.

Yeah, teeheheeheee.. Tingly fingly,... "Sliiiddee."

But as I said, all those shots are directly from the comic..almost anyway. It makes it spectacular, but Fight Club didn't have anything but imagination to work on.

Anyway, Marv is a definite badass. It's good that they used the "later Marv" from other Sin City books as the first Marv was poorly drawn.

it might have come straight from the comic book, but Frank Miller was a director, so it's not like he didn't come up with sin city, it was all his imagination and his idea in the first place

He was an assisting director, just because he wrote the comics, the movie was Rodriquez's, Miller himself said that. But yeah, they're both fucking stunning movies both visually and mentally, both are based on something great, but the movies are almost superior compared to the originals.

Sin City maybe, but Fight Club is better in book form, at least thats my opinion.

i just saw it yesterday, and it was definately everything that everybody claimed it was and then some. And the cinematography was probably the best I have ever seen. It better win many oscars.

Anyway, a gas station we pass. We got gas, and ran off to get grub.It was a nice little pub in the middle on nowhere. Anywhere woulda been better. I ordered enchiladas and I ate 'em, Ali had the fruit punch.

It's amazingly true to the comic, I have to agree. In my opinion nothing will ever beat Fight Club, palahniuk is a genius (as far as writing).

Does anybody know which shots Quentin Tarantino directed? I knw he did the car scene with Clive Owen and Benecio Del Toro but what else did he do?

That's all he directed. AND Sin City CAN'T win any Oscars: Robert Rodriquez had to resign from the Director's Guild or whatever, because their rules say, that you can't have two directors directing a movie (Frank Miller/Rob) and you can't win an Oscar without being in da clubb..

Great fucking movie, saw it in theartes and I had it on my comp...wow I watched it over and over. Terrible amazing movie, a must see.

yeah it's a good movie, but if u read the comics it's almost exactly the same so it's not that original. but it had jessica alba so it doesn't matter ;)

so i just watched it, man that movie is crazy as fuck. ive never seen so many decapitated people in 1 movie. the black and white was sick, epecially when the blood was red, that one guy was yellow, and the pill bottle was yellow. it was wierd

Fight club would be better if they redid it so it was more like the book. Keep all the people the same just change the storyline. If you read fight club the book youd know what i mean.

 
i thought that Sin City was probably the most creative movie i have ever seen
