just saw this amazing film...im calling it out right now......sin city will become the most influencial movie since the matrix in terms of influencing the way movies in the future are directed and the way they are edited

Yeah, i have read the comic book for a long time, and the thing is that it stays totally true to the comic book to its finer details. Plus you see Quintan Terentino's work in this film.

i liked how it kind of progressed like pulpfiction, with multiple stories and such. the black and white/color scheme, although used a lot in pictures on ns, i thought, was a perfect fit. i thought it was captivating. best movie ive seen this year*

and yeah robert rodriguez is a genius and has juts proven it yet again. i think for sure this will have a major cult following you either love it or hate it but either way its gonna influence a lot of people and i'm sure you will see it come back in the future as a major influenece

so, just cause he doesnt like the movie means that he doesnt know what good films are? i'm not sticking up for the guy, but really, just cause he didnt like this movie, does it mean he likes shitty movies? i've known people that have loved movies like Pulp Fiction, Casablanca, and hated Kill Bill.

besides, what really defines a great film? Entertainment value? Editing? Originality? Cinematography? Acting? i dunno, i'm babbling

with this kind of film it is the screenplay that makes everything, it is a comic book film, and with this it has to follow it to a tee

i did think it was weird how everyone survived like 10 shots to the heart/eyes/penis and people could jump like 7 story buildings, but i think that was supposed to be overplayed.
