OK here is the scoop. from one who was there, and filmmed it. the jump was 80 ft. and yes it was a photo shoot at Park City. it was way hard to judge the speed due to the tow in and the inability when coming in to the jump to see the landing. he speed checked it a few times, and then went for it. he was still going up at the point of the knuckle. he then preceded to drop out of the sky from about 50 feet to flat which was as hard as a rock due to the melt freeze cycle that we have right now. he travled about 200 ft from the takeoff because of the steep landing. he was knocked out for at least a minute or two. he did eventualy stand on his own, just to sit on the sled, but you could tell that he was in a lot of pain. for the way that it looked only hurting his splean and cracking his pelvis i would say he is lucky. it should have been much worse from the impact. i can't believe he didn't crack his scull or break his neck. he left an indentation in the ice hard snow from his head.
so all in all, good luck simon and i hope you recover quickly.
