Simon Dumont's 1080's

Does Simon Dumont ski on regular 1080's? Or are they in fact LAB's with the off-the-rack graphics? It seems like all the other riders have the partial wood core CR's or candide's. Do they make the young guys ski on the regular 1080's so people will think they are really good skis?

 
I wouldn't really consider Simon one of the young guys, and I am pretty sure the only time he would ski on one of the Pro skis is when it has the 2 already existing graphicso n it. I doubt that Salomon owuld put a regular topskin on top of the lab ski.

 
So why do you think Salomon would have (possibly) the best pipe skier in world not riding one of their pro skis? (he was riding what looked like regular 1080's in Bumps and Jumps)

 
because he isnt big enough for the CRs or the Candide's maybe...

he does ride the 1080s, so he says and salomon site says...plus hes shorter as most of us know...that could affect it

also i just looked, on the salomon site, im making another post on it now, there coming out with a 1080 'foil' and a 1080 'thruster' as their mid-season launch...i'll try 2 get some answers

By the way, Salomon does put the standard topsheet on lab skis. The only reason I know is I saw some pocket rockets with different sidecut and sidewalls, but the same topsheet

 
Of course Simon's a young kid. He's what 16-17? Untill he's 18, he's still a young guy for sure.

ya he is 18 and thats super young to be at the level he is, and he probly doesn't use the Lab skis cuz there 181s and he's only like 5;6'

Some of the salomon pros get special skis...Davenport for example skis normal PR's with a wood core some of the time (according to Davenport).

it was awesome how there was people at bumps and jumps riding Candide's pro model, yet he was rockin the Scratch's.....

Hey justinm obviously u havent seen the FOILS becuz u say they look like 10s well take a look at MR Bishops post they look nuthin like regular 10s moron. I love ppl who think they sould cool by making shit up!

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

Dumont skied on the 1080 at Bumps and Jumps. The foil is new for next and definitely different from this years 1080. Simon is in the process of developing his own pro model that will be out next fall.

 
not everyone always skis the pro models...dc was on regular troubles last year.
