I'll give Simon all the props in the world for that. Even though the 1/4 was huge, I looked down the thing from the deck, and there really was only about 1 1/2' of play between decking, finding the sweetspot, and crushing yourself in the flats (which happened to him early on). The top 8'+ was so steep, that actually landing there was nearly impossible. Hitting good tranny from a 35' launch is insane; doing it with a 9 tail is beyond ridiculous.
