Simon Dumont QP World Record Video!

Damn that is seriously fucking insane. Simon is the man. I bet Terje will be impressed when he sees this.
 
I'll give Simon all the props in the world for that. Even though the 1/4 was huge, I looked down the thing from the deck, and there really was only about 1 1/2' of play between decking, finding the sweetspot, and crushing yourself in the flats (which happened to him early on). The top 8'+ was so steep, that actually landing there was nearly impossible. Hitting good tranny from a 35' launch is insane; doing it with a 9 tail is beyond ridiculous.

Way to get the monkey off your back, Simon. Hell of a show through the week.
 
Its the value of the shot/world record that blinds you from your fear. Shit if I was good enough to make the world record I would sack up and hit that, I would want my name in the books for going bigger than any snowboarder in history has.

actually hes not. theyre last years with this years topsheet. and he has TWO DIFFERENT BINDINGS did anyone else notice that? whats the deal?
 
only reason i could think unless there jsut different colourd bindings, is that he had 2 pairs of skis with different bindings and accedently picked up one from each for that picture at the end if that is when u noticed the different bindings. or mabey he wants a binding that relasses easier on one foot cause that foot is hurt????
