Simon dumont or tanner hall?

Why is this thread still allive? Everyone knows Hall is a fuck wit who is good i admit but he thinks hes god. Dumont....no question about it
 
are you on fucking crack? hall has way better style than dumonts high mutes and double frontflips. he is also way more tech than simon as well. im glad to know dumont can spin both ways but he doesnt show it much whereas tanner rocks it in pipe, tanner can also ski big mountain as well, so to me t hall takes the cake. dumont is still a sick skier but is not as well rounded as t
 
Hahaha way to bump a semi old thread. but its great seeing that people are already hating on tanner again. Tanner if you read this... dont take it to personally, kids love to hate. Dumont deserves mad respect too they are both dope
 
I like them both, I think they're really awesome skiers, both with there own unique twist, so much crap is spread about t-hall, give the guy a break, unless you have met him and he has in some way offended you, take the rumors with a pinch of salt...

And Dumont is really pushing the limits of skiing at the moment, with his recored-breaking and all..
 
i don't think you can really compare them, they each have their own style and bring different elements to their skiing, its like comparing apples and oranges
 
Dumont is a better overall....dumont is breaking world records and absolutely throwing down at the JOSS....why doesnt tanner go to any events anymore, all he does is ride pipe and backcountry....not to hate on BC but have some variety in your skiing...I just like Dumont's style over tanners
 
im not gunna lie tanner is full of himself but he kills it but so does simon but ive met simon and hes nice but hes full to so idk both
 
wrong, and i believe that tanner even says that dumont isnt all park in one of his "speeches" after xgames. i know that in teddybear crisis simon did some bc stuff and i remember reading one of the news articles of the candide invitational '08, simon decided to do bc instead of sessioning some of the hits, since there was a storm before

obviously tanner slays in the bc and simon hasnt really been seen shredding the powpow but im sure he does whenever he feels in the mood for it

i choose simon because of my being from Maine and sharing home mountains with him, and he is always going so much bigger than the others in the pipe despite his size.
 
Thats what I love about Tanner, I've never actually met the guy but I just get this vibe from him that he skis because he loves to ski... that he doesn't need to go and break world records and try to prove himself to the world (not to hate on simon). I dunno, I've got mad respect for both of them and their both amazing skiers but ever since tanner got over being a cocky kid five or so years ago it seems like hes just turned into a super chill guy that loves to ski...
 
saying that just shows your ignorance, back in the day tanner just did rails and jumps, then people said he needed to vary himself and he started pipe, then they said he needed to do BC and he started doing it. What is next, him going off like jon and killing races because he is amazing at that too all of a sudden, he is the BEST all around skier...
 
agreeing with the post above mine. dumont is soooo sick dont get me wrong but hes kinda not very nice jib accedemy in duluth all he did is hate on our park"your jumps are to small" "your hills to short" "its way to cold"(it started cold like 5 degrees but warmed up to be bluebird and 28 it was super nice) so ive seen him kinda gettin to cocky lease last few years as hes been on top. and hall sure i have never really liked him but why are you hating on him? hes so good he goes huge and hes so stoked on skiing. so what if he likes powder over park its prefrence and if he can throw down in pow as good as he can in park then by all means go ski pow pow. and any money says any of you are not HALF as good as either of them so stop your hating respect your sport and dont hate. sure you dont like them no reason to be like hes a d-bag he sucks hes a skier just like pretty much everyone on here so stop the hate were all one big comunity that should get along
 
Aaagghhh they're both fucking amazing, dont hate on either because chances are you dont really know either one of them personally, I cant say I do, but everyone that knows Tanner says hes super cool and really nice. Besides, do you really think that Tanner can't handle competitions anymore after his pipe run? I mean, His run would have been a legit slopestyle run if he took it out of the pipe. And seriously, someone with enough skill to be one of the best big mountain skiers in the world and the reigning X-Games pipe champion can obviously still compete and throw down. Tanner Hall is without a single doubt one of the best skiers the world has ever seen. He has done SO much on the park scene, I mean he's won every single X-Games skiing event, excluding skiercross, and he absolutely owns everything that he does. I mean, Tanner could have done normal double backflips and it would have been impressive, but he lays them out. He comes back after skiing big mountain for almost the entire year, owns X-Pipe, goes back to the backcountry and keeps on slaying. And seriously, why do we have to choose? They're both amazing, and deserve the respect of everyone on this site. Besides, we really dont need threads like this on NS, they just piss people off. And if you come across an old thread like this, dont bring it back. Thank you that is all.
 
doesn't mean he's not a huge tool bag. i've met both, tanner was just chillin and rockin out, and dumont was a huge aborted fetus. i had a pole stolen (weird right?) so i was skiing no poles, and he made it a point to yell at me every run for close to 4 hours, though never close enough where i could reply "talk to me when your voice drops."
 
he's not one of the best big mountain skiers in the world, but he's pretty damn good.

Overall, I'd say tanner. Every kid I've talked to that's met/competed against him says that he's an egotistical jerk...kind of the jock of skiing. Sure, he can rip the pipe/park, but it seems like he's a real competition guy. I prefer people who ski in films and whatever, for fun.

But I'm not retarded, I know that in order to make a living by just skiing you have to win competitions.
 
personaly i like them both alot, but im gonna say tanner, every time i talk to him he's really chill, and i think he is a overall better skier. but thats just my two cents.

what the hell is the point of this thread??? seriously all it does is gets ppl to hate on skiings pros for no reason.

I dont get it, Tanner Hall is one of the best skiers in the world and most all you guys do is hate on him?? You should respect him for being where he is, hes the one out there progressing the sport and not sitting on ns posting uneducated hater bullshit

i wouldve thought that after all the interviews he did and talked about how he really is ppl would stop hating on him because hes cocky?? god where do you get cocky out of tanner hall, hes like the opposite
