Simon Dumont On Ellen show

did anybody read some of the posts under the video. One says it is from colby wests mom. I thought it was kinda cool how much she cared about freestyle skiing.

I missed your show Monday only to find out that you interviewed Simon Dumont ( one of my son's buddies) about his recent record... GO SIMON!... and a firend called to tell me Simon mentioned MY SON'S NAME ON THE ELLEN SHOW!!! My son is Colby West and has a name for himself in freestyle skiing competitions, X-Games, and films! Of course a mother loves to hear her child's name whenever it is on television and I MISSED IT! You should check into Colby's accomplishments some time... you would be impressed. Besides him being an X-Games medalist and self made freestyle skier at 23 years old... he is quite the entertainer! Sorry I missed the show... Yeah to Simon.....sooooooooo glad to see Freestyle skiing be recognized! Colby West's Mom ;-)

Ha, he got a New Era "Ellen" fitted, and some goggs that had Ellen's eyes printed onto the lense and her hair was attached to the top of the goggs.
 
Name three things Simon has done for skiing. I can't even name one, Tanner and other likes such as Mike Douglas have done more for newschool skiing than Simon will ever do. All Simon does is try to look pretty and win a bunch of contest. He's too political from my point of view with his sponsors and all. I think he's still in the game to accomplish one thing... Get money.
 
Cmon, you gotta give him some credit. He pushes the comp scene (NAO?), he is pretty much the face of pipe skiing even if he's not the best at it. Our sport need people like simon that get the public stoked on skiing.
 
Put yourself in his shoes for a bit. Imagine showing up at the biggest 1/4 pipe in the world and 5 camera crews there and all your sponsors there and you need to break the world record. Nobody else to ski with never being able to se someone else hit it. He had no choice but to break the record it is amazing that he can perform under that kind of pressure. Also he did all of it without complaining that kid deserves everything he has got.
 
damn i missed it, does anyone know where i can see the WHOLE episode and not just the 1 min part about his jump?
 
hes only doin it for TARGET. 80% of those fat ladies in the audience shop there...To me, mainstream just got a HUGE injection of skiing. Thats good. more money into our sport, and maybe a chance for skier pipe to be an OLYMPIC SPORT.
 
I don't think he is doing it only for target. I am sure target and redbull love his exposure on that show but simon probably does too. Any exposure is good for him and apperaing on that show is probably a fun experience.
 
simon is doing nothing for the sport except bringing corporate america into it and making it look cool.
