Simon Dumont is officially rediculous. wow...

i dont know how anyone can hate on a guy like simon........his skillz are absolutely crazy and he is prolly one of the most stylist skiers around!
 
Wait. I'm confused. I thought one of the things that made skiing so great was the ability to do whatever you want. If Simon wants to throw that, who cares. If you don't want the sport to progress in a certain way, then don't. Do your own thing and stop hating on other people when they do what they want to do...

lol u guys are such bitches (whatever i know ... thats newschoolers for ya ) but come on give it a rest y dont ya one minute some guys crazy legit and throwin down (can any of u do cork 3's like that???) ... next minute there shit cause they throw 1 trick that u guys dont like. Secondly these are the guys pushing are sport, without them we wouldnt see octograbs and kangaroo flips (duble flips that are suddenly sick jus cos jon and wester did them(but im not sayin here they arent), younger guys like jossi, sammy and all ure otha NS idols like wallisch and stepp wouldnt even be in the sport cause theyd probly rather race than throw an iron cross off a 10ft kicker. Thirdly like some others said rightly ... practice, there not going to be throwin a bloody english muffin grab in it first try. An whoever said he needs to remember about style, hes not exactly going to throw the styliest trick in the world first few goes of it. Its something that u express in ureself, are u trying to define whats got style and whats not ...??? people do have different opinons on what it is you know. i also think any of u would be happy if u could even manage to throw any of the tricks on that video and u wouldn't be hating on ure fucking self would ya. And ure saying about the judges, pk hunder ... over duble flips ... tanner over a 1260, they prbly dont whine as much as you and just get along with it, if any u guys ended up judging a 360 would win ... is that pushing the sport ?!?!? finally id like to say i witnessed one of my mates doing a duble flip that he created first hand (Pistol Flip) and me and everyone there was jus stoked to see it done. You need to take a step back and look at ureselves, if u want the sport to be pushed differently get off your lazy arses and do something about it and stop fucking whining bout it. Go ski ! have fun ! and stop the fucking hate !

have fun guys its oviously more worthwhile sitting at home and hating than going out skiing ... i liv in england we havent even had snow this year yet some of my mates av managed to make a name for themselves and managed to help push the sport

like the chairlift says, "skiing is an expression of freedom". whats great about this video is that each one of those guys is skiing and having a good time while doing it. They each have their style, its their freedom. Sure, Dumonts frontflip misty 7 was a lil shaky, but hey, im impressed. I sure cant do that. Theyre pushing the sport in directions its never been! (doesnt mean you necessarily have to like it! )

I think people need to realize how dope it is that these guys come out and performing at their best. love the sport for what it is. stop the hating folks.
 
Was that a switch double cork 10? Ok, sick. He didn't grab, but it wasn't pencil steeze or hucked, its not aerials, that was legit. I'm not the biggest Dumont fan, but that shit was tight.
 
thats not a trick you can make steezy by doing a grab or something. grabbing would mess up the rotation, i guess if he can make it look good then thats cool, but i doubt its possible, though id love to be proven wrong. and im saying simon is cocky cause he is. just listen to him talk, his whole segment in yeah dude was about him winning competitions and winning money. its cool and all that he gets money for skiing, but when he says that the media coverage and money is the best part, then to me its taking skiing way too seriously. so thats also why i dont like the trick, cause i cant really see him "goofing around" and taking a trick like that seriously just isnt cool to me. he is a way good skier, and even though i really dont like his serious cocky attitude, i still respect him for doing what he wants, even though i dont like it.
 
if it was a misty to misty it would have been sick, but it was just some moderately hard aerials trick that looked like crap. im not impressed at all.

First off...the vid was sickkkkk...

Couple of points though...

If you watch the video closely enough..it's hard to distinguish who is who in the video because I'm pretty sure at one point Jossi and Dumont are wearing the same jacket/pant combo. The only way to recognize...... is Jossi wears a Black Helmet w/ Nike 6.0 and Dumont has his Pro Dumonts on...and of course Colby wears black.

Why is this important? Because...the only ones in the video throwin D Spin Doubles is Jossi(in the beginning of vid) and Colby(at the end) NOT DUMONT...

He does a front double to Misty front crap....WHICH is FUCKING UGLY...BUT....

...the DUDE is progressing his trick....At ICER he threw the lamest double Front and he came 3rd. At least he's trying to improve his double! WHICH is fucking where the sport is heading..double fucking flips to triples..man someone's going to die or be paralyzed....BUT THAT's another fucking thread...

Lastly...I'm sure he's trying to do a different double than JON: his North American Tour Partner. I'm sure he could do a fucking Whiskey flip BUT he's not going to immitate his bro....fuck man...JON progressed his doubles from kangaroo to DJ flips...Simon progressed his 540 truck to 540 truck to mute double grab in the pipe...Give him his due, he's not even competing in the BIG AIR COMP at X.

I thought it was all sick, stop immediately dropping hate on stuff that doesn't have as much style, it's still good skiing. Pretty impressive he can just pull that off, its pretty technical. Judging isn't all about style, theres other criteria.

If you are trying to learn something new and you don't grab and look perfect in the air yor first try then you are a fuckin retard and you should probably quit skiing.

i think that before you judge people, you should actually know a little bit about them, or better yet, know them, I do, i ski at SR in Newry, ME which is right next to bethel where Dumont is from, He's a wicked chill guy

meh. simons good. but i really don't like totally hucked style but maybe its just me. i think its getting ridiculous.
