He just did somthing amazing, with that much pain he boosted that far out, and took 3 runs, 3 perfect runs! Damn, he shouldnt have one, he should have had silver, but tanner definitley deserved the gold. But simon is the fucking man. PROPS SIMON
 
Simon definitely should have taken the gold he boosted out further than tanner even with all that pain. but tanner deserved it too.
 
for some reason i just kept visualizing tanner just dropping in and skiing directly down the middle of the pipe, and then when he got to the bottom, dedicated it to simon for his massive balls
 
there are mulitple threads on this topic not to be an asshole.. but yea dumont is the fucking man
 
what happened to him? was it from his shattered pelvis or something else? they said it was his lower back that was bothering him.....
 
i thought thall deserved gold but dumont def shoulda got 2nd way more amplitude than farve that truckdriver 540 on his last run was HUGE!!
 
We where all rooting for Simon, even my family who never watched skiing wanted him to win because he did a "cool looking trick." Oh well, I was also.
 
sorry guys, but no matter how much pain he was in tanners run was cleaner, simon dragged his hands at the end and tanner just stood it up all the way, never came close to dragging, not quite as big, but much cleaner. Dumont is still the fucking burliest skier ever
 
Holy shit did he boost high! What the fuck is with the same score though. He went so much bigger the third time and they give him the same score. Fuck those judges. He was in so much pain. Holy shit, he is my hero.
 
SAME exact thign with my family...my mom wanted simon to win so bad. She met him before and she loves the kid. Simons my hero for going through all that though. Tanner and he both had really shitty crashes and it is good to see the mcome back. Props Dumont for sticking with it.
 
Im still leaning towards thinking that Dumont should have won gold by like a hundredth of a point or something, I just think he was slightly smoother. But Tanner has had this coming a long time and he worked damn hard for it so props to him
 
i love him the most cause you saw how much pain he was in, but how he skiied you would never have known something was wrong
 
mine too. i think he should have one. this comming from a kid that has been hyping tanner everytime i got asked about the games. damnit. i fucking jumped out of my seat on run #3. it really amazed me.
 
It was damn impressive. The kid couldn't even walk, yet he threw down yet again, as if nothing was wrong.

Hatveit will slay it next year. I predict LOTS of 1st place pipe finishes from him. Huge switch hits.

Tanner, what else is there to say. The kid can ski.

Favre's last run was definitely big also.

But I think Dumont shoulda scored better on his 3rd run. He went bigger the whole run, yet they didn't reward.
 
He did go bigger, but he did also touch down on his 1080 at the end. So I can see why they didn't reward anymore.

no grab in 3 tricks in one run dont deserve to win a comp

he might have boosted but laurent was in a league of his own and tanner did pretty much the same run as simon with more technicality and better grabs.
 
I don't think that Simon deserved a higher score I just think that Tanner deserved a lower score for doing almost the same run as the year before, and Laurant shoulda got a higher score!
 
Personally I thinks that he should have won he had a more diverse run and a different bag of trick (switch ect) tanner and simon were a toss up though for silver and bronze
 
i was hangin with a friend of mine and she was like oh hold on i have a call and was like "hey simon!"

then i asked who was that and she said simon, and i was like simon who and she said dumont....i nearly lost it...she used to live in his town, it was so weird
 
Haha, that's almost what happened with me and one of my teachers. Last year we went up for a weekend trip to Sunday River, and she was one of the people going. Well she saw I had twin tips, and asked, "Are you into the freestyle skiing?" I replied yes, and she said she has a friend she grew up with and her brother still rides with all the time thats big into the freestyle skiing. Of course I was curious and asked who it was and she said Simon Dumont. So this year on the ride up I brought WAR and showed her Dumont's crash and she's like, "Oh yeah, I heard about that. When he got hurt his friends and my brother was making fun of him."
 
yea but it waasnt like he did that a day before tanner blew his ankles to shit and won
