Silverton conditions?

I'm flying in to Denver and driving to Silverton. Have 2 days reserved, Saturday 2-24 and Sunday 2-25. Has anyone been there recently, I had a customer in my shop today who was in Wolf Creek and said the snow wasn't that great. Any input would be appreciated

Thanks

i had tickets for the 12th of february and ended up selling them at the strong advice of my dad who lives in durango. the snow in SW colorado is really bad this year. it's crazy because the rest of the state is getting dumped on. summit and steamboat are way above their average snowfall amount for this time of the year, while the southwest is at like 50%. sorry to rain on your parade. i'd tell you to sell the tickets if you can and go to steamboat or aspen. sorry.

I'm going down in March. From what I hear, Silverton is getting more snow than Durango and Telluride. Even a few inches more a storm can make a huge difference. I don't think they got much from these last few storms, but there snow reports seemed impressive going into February. Email them and ask, I'm sure they'll be pretty straight forward with the coditions.

i was at wolfcreek on sunday (gogo 23$ student tickets) and the snow was fairly sunbaked. no pow in a week and warm temps. that being said silverton has some great trees and im sure there is still powder in there somewhere. aron and the guides are killer there so i would not worry about going. might try to hit up something a bit farther north as well seing as how the rest of CO is getting dumped on every couple of days. ive been staying with friends in avon and the beaver/vail are killer right now
