so, I wanna enter the comp at crystal this year, but i don't know what's up... the Crystal website says that registration opens the first week of december... well, it's past the first week of december and i don't see anywhere i can register. am i missing something?
 
are you sure its an open event? i recall something about the stevens freeride comp being a qualifier. could be wrong though. both are sick and im doing at least the stevens one
 
I'm pretty sure Stevens includes age 18. Crystal is in March. Stevens is Jan 18th I believe. I suggest you google it though.

Ages 12-14 and another group of ages 15-17 compete on the jr stops. 18 and up compete at the men's stops. Registration never closes out on the Silver King mens event. The Jrs is getting bigger as the Crystal stop is the North American Jr. IFSA Championships and may eventually fill up. Registration does not appear to be open yet. Registrations for both mens and jrs events will be on www.mountainchallenge.org sometime soon.
 
so, since registration wasn't really available I put it in the back of my mind for the past while. today I went to check it out again and found out the event in cancelled.

bummer.

just letting people on here know incase there was anyone else wanting to do the event but wasn't aware of it not happening.
 
FFFUUUUCCCCKKKK. Stevens one sucked alot this year(first day didn't happen, second day we started half way down and were mostly in moguls). I was looking forward to the Crystal one since it's on a run that isn't a mogul field.

My friend was saying they don't have a ton of snow this year though, worse coverage than stevens(stevens isn't bad in the resort really now though).
 
well, it's the adult comp that is cancelled, I don't know about the junior comp. not sure which one you're referring too.
