so im watching the c-span coverage of the RNC protests that are goin on in NYC today. i think, truly, in my heart of hearts, that if i was an undecided voter, i would be more swayed to vote for bush after watching a few minutes of this carnival freak show. 6/7 signs have to do with either 'bush lies, who dies' (because he obviously lied with full knowledge of what was really going on, with the intention of killing as many troops/iraqi civilians as possible, because bush is worse than hitler or stalin) or, 'no war for empire' (since were currently sending over colonists to establish american foot holds in iraq, and since we have effectivly made iraq the 51st state) the protestors are also chanting dogmaticly smart sounding phrases such as 'capitolism sucks' or 'fuck fox news' (since this convention is all about fox news) and all sorts of other creative, constructive ideas.

in short, this has got to do more harm to the kerry campaign than it does good. its painting kerry supporters as radicals who beleive that George Bush is, and i quote a sign i saw, 'the worst president ever' ummm right... if i was Kerry, i would be mortified to see a Kerry sign intermixed with all the rhetoric. its a circus out there...

Well I am a strong democrat and I dispise Bush with a passion, but I definetely agree with you. It's pathetic, basically all these dumbasses and hippies jumped on the protest bandwagon and are now out there protesting whatever they can get their hands on. There is no way Kerry is going to mention this in his campaign, he will probably let this little incident die

Ya. protests should be properly organized if we want them to be efficient.In our last year at high-school we organized a march as a protest to the war. We didn't have 1000 ppl skipping class running around. We had 1000 students march together, with banners that promoted peace not against bush. You can't protestn with slogans that say die Bush. It's not something to cling to, not to mention it doesn't mean shit. Oh well, i guess we are trying to give bush a second term.

ya I saw all these people in the streets, and all the cops, damn... I have a question for anyone who can answer it. I was on a trip away from civilization during the DNC and did pro Bush supporters get any air time?

Knowing the media they probly got none, but I was just wondering. I love how all the liberals of New York said they didn't like having the Republicans in their city but isn't this what makes America beautiful, our system? Let's see here, with only one party we would have ahhh yes that's right, communism.

But yes, most of these protestors are hippies that only have courage to do all this cuz there's like a cagillion of them, making their candidate look bad. But it is surprising, it's more of a hatred for the president than any kind of support for Kerry. Interesting.
