Silk screening

ive been looking into silk screening and making a few unique shirts. i have a few friends who have artistic talent and have pitched to them the idea of using their artwork on shirts and they are game. only problem is i dont know anything about the t shirt making process. if anyone can point me in the right direction or give me some tips/advice that would be apreciated.
 
go to micheals and get shirts for 2 dollars. Then make a nice stencil and spray paint I do this process a lot more because it is cheap, easy, and the spray paint works extremly well for what I'm doing. Then agin it is a different effect
 
^Quality would definately lack if you go this route. My advice would be to open up the yellow pages and call/goto a silk screening place.
