Silincer vs. Fujitive

i demo'd the silencers on 2/12 in the midwest-(all ice hill) and to my pleasure they tore it up. now take my review with a grain of salt given my hills condition plus i am not a trickster like the rest of the gang on this site. i cant tell you shit about how this ski lands after doing a corked 5 prison sex grab. but i did like the skis a lot. so much i went home and bought a pair that night online. my feet are big so i had them mounted 2.5 from midsole which is how i demo'd them. people should note that silencers are thinner than the PEs and fujas (80 vs 85) but since im new to the new school shit, it didnt matter to me and being on an all ice hill probably worked out for the better. only the 179s are available at this time. other sizes to appear later after the season i guess. the top sheet is black with subtle k2 graphics. the top sheet is also a ptex or similar substance. it seems resistant to major thrashing or would be very easily repaired with ptex if you did gash it. lastly, im 6'2" 185 and the ski was of tolerable weight (heavier than fujas) and is relatively stiff.

i also rode the new foils, sprayer bcs and scratch fs if anyone with similar habits/conditions cares. the mantras were available too, but i declined because it serves no purpose to ride 2 small coffee tables on an icy slope.
 
it really comes down to if u want a soft ski with flex points or a stiffish ski that is constructed much like the fujative but skis all mtn well. Its basically a cheap alternative of the PE.

Personally i'd get fujatives as soft skis are fun in the park, but thats just me.

Fujative: soft felxing jib ski

Silencer: the origional public enemy core, sans sidewalls, and replaced with a cap construction. so if you wanna know how they ride, go ride some old public enemeys. duh! they are skinnyer, stiffer, and better for jumps, pipe, and biger guys than the fujas are
 
ive ridden both and i like the fujis waaaay better b/c i love the wider platform of the fujis and i liked the flex much better on the fujis. the silencer is just like the PE just 8 mm narrower.
