i just saw silent hill two hours ago. words can not express how increadibly fucked up this movie is. these were nastiest things i have ever seen in my entire life.at the end of the movie there was this scene , and it was so fucking gross that the person sitting next to me couldnt take it and threw up all over his seat. whoever this director is is a sick fucked up person. like, think of saw times like, 3 fucking thousand. SILENT HILL IS FUCKED UP.

I gave it two thumbs up.

well i was already sold on this movie from the games alone but now i really want to see it.
 
I freaked out the first time I saw that girl on the commercial like "I AM THE REAPER" fuck. Saw II, someone threw up in the theatre. I saw HOstel last night, and it was a joke. But I wanna see Silent Hill bad!
 
that was the shittiest movie "there was a fire here" No shit bitch, really? that was the whole plot of the movie, thanks for stating the obvious. THe whole teatre was laughing so hard during so much of the movie
 
i saw this movie without even seeing the previews and it was bomb ass! it wasnt as nasty as saw, but it has to do with witchcraft and torureing people, its messed up. but yeah besides that its got a good story that fucks with your head
 
hahahaha i laughed so hard when the little girl was like " look i'm on fire". i didn't like the movies too much. i thought it was kinda stupid
 
That girl in the heroin needle pool scene... someone visiously phobic of needles could possibly throw up/pass out.

It just depends on what you are afraid of really.
 
silent hill was scary as shit the screaming things ... we (I) couldnt take it and so my girlfriend and I left to go see scary movie 4 which was good after seeing that
 
More importantly, does it bring the psychological elements present in the game to the big screen?

The game fucked with you so bad, especially silent hill 2, one of the possible endings of that is actually sad, he picks up the corpse of his dead wife, puts her in the car next to him and runs himself off the road to be with her in death...
 
yeah whoever puked during this movie was a pussy. i didn't think it was all that special, but my buddy who played all the games thought it was fucking awesome. and the needle scene in saw 2 was way more disturbing than any part of silent hill without a doubt.
 
quintin tarentino produced it i think.

and after seeing the commercials, i am definitely not planning on see this
 
I just saw it and it was the shittiest movie ever. Not one part was remotely scary. I was laughing at most of it. Especially the dyke cop.
 
i thought silent hill was awesome. It seems the only movie I care to see in the theaters are horror movies. The plot didn't really go anywhere, it's basicly the mom trying to get her daughter back. But the cinematics and sound design were the best I've seen in a long time. All of the larger than life crane shots over the cliffs were amazing, as was the town. All of the effects were done so well. Sure there isn't much good dialouge, or plot but that's not really what the film was about.

defintly not going to see it... thank you. When you start a film out... the first thing i think of is: Ok so here is our movie: were going to walk around a town and fucked up shit happens... dont worry about the plot or dialogue its not important.

Dialogue and plot are the most important thing to any film. You could have the greatest cinematographer in the world, and sure you can say that the cinematography was good, but if it doesnt lend anything to the story then what the hell good is it?
 
I would dissagree. To me the story is secondary to the production value and vision. There are plenty of films made with good plot that are unbearable to watch. I don't know, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I couldn't care less about plot structure in narrative films.

They go hand in hand... the movie will suck if one side lacks. Any film can be well made with a shitty story, and your right that the story can be fuckin epic and the movie blow. Your also right that production value is important, but in the end all great films are remembered for the story. Its just a fucking givin if your making a film and your highly renowned director, the production value is going to be good.
 
im renting this, hostle, the hills have eyes, and saw 2. these gross out movies are pointless. but im seeing the anyways just because when they are all out.
 
anyways zombie movies are way better than gross out torture movies.

wait isnt silent hill a zombie movie? damnit its both isnt it. i should see it.
