Signs that we're getting closer to ski season

Thursday night's forecast has some mention of possible frost. And Friday night's forecast for Mount Washington has the mention of possible rain and snow showers.

"Friday Night: A slight chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 20%."

We're getting close to that 2 month window here in the Northeast.

Just thought I'd stoke everyone out a little.

yesterday i had an oral exam and i needed a black shirt to wear under my costume and the only shirt i still had was my "pray for snow" shirt from MSP....Long story short: the exam ended with my professor saying: Good luck with your other exams and "Pray for snow!"
that made me want to see some snow so bad !! :(
 
mornings and overall days are getting cooler. the grass in the morning has that gray haze to it from frost. windows of the car are frost over in the morning.
 
Yeah, I've been noticing the trees around 3,000' are starting to get a brown-ish tinge to them as they are starting to lose their green here in Central VT.
 
sorry buts its already snowed in Utah. But i cant wait to come back to the east coast for christmas and skit hee ast
 
yes... very good. Some nights i can feel that crisp winter air calling me, beckoning me towards the barren grassy land scape of Blue Mountain ski resort. But i turn my head and take into account that there is still 3 more painful months that i must endure until the cold comes back and blankets the horizon with fluffy joy. Until then i must clench my fist and drift among the formalities of summer and its unforgiving heat and back to school commercials...
 
yes! theres a ray of hope emerging. i know the worst is yet to come tho. ill be sitting in my algebra 3, 4 class with 3 weeks til ski season, bored out of my mind. ill just have to find ways to keep myself occupied i guess haha.
 
everytime i go to bed and wake up the next day its one day closer

and school is approaching which means ski season is as well
 
yessssssssssssss. it's getting close.

soon the snow will be falling, we'll be shredding, and hot chicks will be found in hot tubs instead of at the beach!
 
Tons of ski related sites updating to the 09-10 version, cooler temps in the mntns, foliage change in the mntns, ski shops opening up their doors, myself and others ordering new gear and outerwear, shorter days longer nights, movie premiers, school, etc
 
I am stoked, but the thing about mt washington is that every time I go to check it weather report it is always like going below freezing at night and it discourages me so much because here in ct were are more than a month behind all you guys in vt and more northern new england.
 
School starting is another sign. It's still 100 where I live and I can still wait for skiing though, I am okay. I just go and hit up the rope swing at the river and cool off.
