Signature spacing

Im trying to have a space between two quotes at the bottom of my posts but no matter how many spaces or enters I put in the two quotes are mashed together.

It should look that way below

It seems to happen to some people and not to others. I'm pretty sure my siggy is fine, but then in my profile I can't enter spaces into the big text boxes...so I don't really know whats up...

yeaaaah, same problems. it USED to work, and then i edited one little thing one day and it's been whack ever since.
