Sierra Backcountry

Anyone ever gone through the back country gates at Sierra? if so, which one is best? Also, where does it take you? do i have to hike back out, or take a shuttle or something?

4 and 5 are the ones, just follow other tracks and youll be set

basically, your first time you should come with me (jk) or go to the ski patrol office and see if there are any patrollers that would like to take you for a run. it won't cost you anything. the hike back depends on what gate you go out. just be careful, walkie talkies are good, beacon, tell somebody, pair up, etc. etc. there is some illmatic stuff out there though.
