Sidewall bulging out, again.

Been riding my new Reckoner 102s in the park for a few days and the sidewall is already bulging out. Same exact thing happened on my Blends, this time I just spotted it earlier.

What’s the best way to fix it or even just prolong the lifespan of my new, a couple weeks old skis? I could try to epoxy it the best I can but is that ever going to last more than a few runs? Definitely not getting a new pair I’ve already broken three skis this winter. Fuck this shit.

My reckoners did the same thing and ended up blowing up, keep taking photos if you ever see more damage, I was able to get warrantied another pair even with em looking like this at the end

Good to know. You said keep taking photos if more damage comes up, you think this is not enough for warranty? I don’t wanna knowingly fuck them up more if they could be fixed up now

Not the same thing but i got new pairs from K2 with this damage so i recommend sendin a warranty reguest. I am also from finland if in need of help!

That is quite possibly enough. I ski for work (still needed to ride the skis) so thats why I continued to document damage, helps having all the stages of damage in my experience. Having proof over time a major reason I got these warrantied (probably shouldnt have)

I’ve always thought of warranty as just a word used for marketing but I guess it is a real thing after all.
 
I had bought mine from Sport Okay, which is in Germany. It was super easy, just needed to fill a form asking questions about the damage and attached a few pictures when prompted. Got an email within the same day, telling they'll be asking K2 about the case. By the next morning they'd already refunded me the skis.

have not met one reckoner owner who have never blown out a sidewall or delaminated underfoot. hope they fix this soon and make them more durable

yea im also from finland and bought one pair of revolt 95s last year and they split from the noses. got full refund from stadium on them. this year bought blends from stadium and snapped them and got also full refund.:)

I too am attracted to skis that don’t last for shit. Just gotta settle for boring but more durable skis i guess…
 
I bought Revolt 95s in Finland last year too but got them from from Sport Bittl. They were edge high so I had issues on rails and eventually sold them. Topsheet chipped like crazzzyyyy
