Sickest photo shoot at squaw

I was skiing at squaw today and all of these pros were there (abma, wilson, burke etc.) for a photo shoot. The set up was amazing. A perfect 80 ft. table into a trench jump (i had never seen it before but it was sick. A lip that was dug into the ground, with a huge landing) into a exite bike jump (like the step up to step down jump they had at superpark except better). Abma was killing it all down on the two jump step up but the most amazing thing came at the end. Wilson did a double cork 5 (spinning a ten altogether) and took it like 115 ft. on an ninty foot jump and stomped the crap out of it, it was intense. Just thought you guys would want to know.

i like wilsons double flip stuff, as long as it doesnt look like aerials. i dont like how aerials look. and that setup sounds crazy

how is it gay because hes going enormous and doing tricks that nobody else is doing. and most likely hes got grabs in there too..... ive seen way too many switch rodeos switch 10s and cork 7s. the kid did a triple backflip at pc this winter.

 
o yeah and wilson's double cork 5 was with a truckdriver, it was defintetely the sickest thing ive ever seen. Sarah burke was throwing down also, swith 7's of the 80 foot table, it was pretty sick. Matchstick and some snowboard company were shooting it.

 
it just looks arial style...even if it has a grab. its my opinion but i think its just retarded

I think it could get out of hand, but for now its ok, atleast its not stolen from roller blading like one footers are. I just hope that it does not turn into a fad or anything and just a few ppl do them. It changes things up a bit.

i've heard of so many photo shoot's this year all over tahoe! i'm deffently gettin a msp movie next year. im lookin fordward to seeing all these crazy phot's ops!

look up "wilson flip" for video and there should be something there. He did it for the first time at the US Open in 04.' He does them a lot better now.

it wasnt a double cork, it was the wilson flip (underflip to misty 540). the set-up was definitely sick and not to brag or anything, but i got to hang out with them for a couple runs, sarah burke = so hot.

i mean rollerbladers.....i got in the habbit of calling it skaters because of i would call skateboarders boarders. and when you skate on skis you know to get speed. its the same as rollerblading so i called it skating.

Suprises me on how you and bristol support the progression of skiing and yet you are bashing every attempt by anyone to try and bring our sport to another level. Closed minded people that support progression... Can anyone pick out the contradiction here?

 
I agree with Bristolrider on this one... Granted Double cork 5 is something I never want to try, so props on doing it... but I would rather see the smoothest cork 5 imaginable

 
^^well bristolrider seems like a pretty avid defender of one footed jibs, so he's not THAT contradictory.

but i personally have nothing against double corks, theyre ballsy as hell

Oh man that setup was so awesome. Watching people hit the trench jump was nothing short of orgasmic, it was so huge. Below that they had a huge kicker with a 20ft gap at the base of the takeoff, it was nuts.

 
wilsons double cork is deffinatly not aerial its really smooth actually bristolrider did u see the one in the us open this year it was crazy style

how is a double cork 5 bad but a cork 10 isnt? they are the same amount of rotation except a double cork is way harder

go to lineskis.com and then go to team, and then click mike wilsons video, he has a double cork 5 at the end, and in his second video he has the biggest 540 and the biggest 720 to flat landing..crazy

 
What the fuck! u cant say wilson flip is not crazy... it is an agrgressive trick wich he do with style . danm!! this kind of tricks make the sport progrees cause now a days u only see switch 10 and this kind of tricks will make the port bigger cause cause tricks are just growing and frowin so shut up if u say it is old school and that is because u dont do it or somthing like that... props to mike for stiking that crazy trick with style. lots of mental potential there

 
giray the double cork will be dope as hell once wilson gets it and you kno it-no one has done it yet on skis therefore no one has seen it. yes we hav seen the wilson flip but i hav a feelin wilson is workin on gettin that just off axis and not inverted and once he does it were be amazing i mean after all mike learned that shit from playin amped which is INSANE!
