is there any spots remotely near the tahoe area that you can ski in the summer? glaciers? snow harvest? anything.

this, and thats with an average snowfall.
the sierras got hammered this season, so if youre willing to hike theres gonna be skiable lines all over the place. last season i rode one of the north facing aspects off of granite chief at squaw in mid-july, and considering that squaw is planning to open for the 4th of july i will probably be poaching it on the regular throughout the summer.
as for park skiing youre SOL

yup, did a little bit there last year.
boreal is generally open pretty late, and I think squaw is going to be open for memorial day weekend.

the patch near kirkwood usually has snow pretty late into the summer. or you could just drive down to mammoth, its not that far from tahoe.

If you want to leave tahoe mammoth goes to july 4th....not too far ...and then from there you can come here, to hood and ski through august !

But its almost 4 miles past the trailhead. And you have to cross over two waterfalls. Which is gnarly when there is snow on the ground. So I would suggest hitting up north lake, around Donnor Lake area. Mt. Rose is also good.

Really depends on how fast you drive and what time of the day you leave cause traffic near sacramento can get gnarly but you can do it in a little under 3 hours if you time it right.

Alpine will open up for 4th of July weekend, Squaw's going until Memorial Day and probably will open for the 4th as well. Mammoth will have a long-ass season as always, though that's not Tahoe. You can hike for turns in any number of places; if you're feeling adventurous, do that. Be smart and safe about it though, you don't need fresh powder for avalanches— wet slides are incredibly dangerous, too.
