Sick Reggae songs needed

--From the "music cult" which everyone should join--

easy star all stars: let down

black uhuru: leaving to zion, great train robbery, what is life

alton ellis: and i love her

bunny wailer: ballroom floor, africa unite

burning spear: down by the riverside, slavery days

frankie paul: are you ready

groundation: lion in the jungle

john brown's body: play on, eyes of the maker

los pericos: pupilas lejanas, sin cadenas

matisyahu: king without a crown, chop 'em down

phish: makisupa policeman

prince buster: wreck a pum pum, the liquidator

steel pulse: chant a psalm, love this reggae music

while i am by no means a reggae snob...i do have most of the artists and songs listed here. i have been steadily into reggae (old and new) for a long time, and i seem to be unable to recreate the experience of "blood dem out" by turbulence. i am unsure as to where that fits in the reggae pantheon, but whoever could point me to songs similiar would be my hero.

that being said i can contribute my songs

Third World:Jah glory, human marketplace, 96 degrees in the shade

Turbulence: Blood dem out, do good, name and number

Sizzla: Aint going to see us fall

Cali P's new album, on iTunes and poorboyz website

of course the marley stuff, dont forget the lesser known brothers too

Stephen (may be labeled wrong) dont care about me

Ziggy: true to myself

Kya Bamba isn't anything more than a DJ who overdubs his own "shoutouts" to himself onto pre-existing songs. Where's the talent in that?

Cali P on the other hand rocks my socks.

yahadani is the shit- marleys are always good- bob has spo many damn songs though- i think like 1900 recorded

it's good music by other artists virtually unchanged by kya bamba but still claimed as their own. but to each their own.

Cali P

Kya Bamba (free cd, about 40 songs - myspace it)

Collie Buddz

Sizzla

Damian Marley

Bob Marley

Stepthen marley

Ziggy Marley

I have to agree that he has no talent, but it's an easy way to get 40 reggae songs without looking very hard.

At least he includes the artist names on all the songs so you can search for them after

artists that he "remixes" well

-Lukie D

-Demolition man

-C Danger (diffrent spellings, hard to find)

-Stephen and Damian marley (traffic jam)

-Roundhead

-Capleton

-Elephant man

no. buy it. it's not that expensive and it's not like he's on some big label paying him to make a new album. support underground artists foo. go to his myspace and htere's links everywhere to buy it.

sirfryinator^ I know he's a cover artist. But IMO, he barely remixes the songs and when he does, doesn't do a very good job at it. But if you like it, more power to ya.

burning spear - we are going

I'm going to drop some stuff that hasn't been mentioned, but Definately worth your time...

Lyricson, thank you Candide

Israel Vibrations, One of the best live shows I've ever seen.

Of course the Bob Marley remix "Chant Down Babylon" Album never gets old too.

People still don't understand that Kya Bamba is a soundsystem, NOT an artist. Basically a DJ. Go find the artists that are on the mixtapes, I guarantee you that on their albums there will be a lot of songs quite a bit better than anything Kya Bamba puts on the mixtapes.

tide is high- the blondie version, and the original by john holt and the paragons

pass the dutchie- musical youth

and the original, pass the kutchie- by mighty diamonds

Slightly Stoopid FO SHO

Check out

Closer to the sun, Officer, Sweet Honey, Leavin on a jet plane, NO CoCaine, Runnin With a gun

Rebulation is dope too

Easy Star just released a new one too, "Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band," ..obviously the beatles in reggae. It's sooo sick!
