those jackets are so overpriced. who in their right mind would pay 280 for a damn piece of outerwear? i got a sick jacket at american eagle thats comparable in quality to most H/H, oakley, orage jackets etc. for only 89 bucks, shop around and dont waste your hard earned(or mooched perhaps) cash.
You should only buy a fluffy coat if you already have a shell. No you cant compare a jacket from american eagle outfitters, to say marmot, or mountain hardwear. But what you can do is wait until the end of year sales and get stuff 50% off, thats what i always do. I think its stupid to pay full price for a 300$ jacket.

Compare the two jackets and look at the two threads entitled sick jacket and what do you think. Some of you people sicken me. You dis the jacket from the GAP, but this jacket, comparable in looks is given mad reviews. You all sicken me...
you can't compare an american eagle jacket to that oakley jacket. believe me. i have last years oakley puffy coat, and I have never put on another coat as warm as that. AE doesn't make a jacket even close to as warm as that. Its ridiculous...like i don't even wear that coat skiing unless its like 15 or below..any warmer and its too warm.

Trendwhores suck, just because it's from Oakley they think it's awesome. If you were to replace the GAP logo on that and put the Oakley 'O' on it people would think it's so pimp.
They don't have the guts to wear anything that's not 'the coolest'.
I've seen quite a few guys riding in those damn puffy jackets and I'm sure they're pretty damn warm but I know the first day I wore one I would tear the shit out of it. That material on the outside is so thin I'd catch that shit on something and ruin it. I've never seen anyone wearing a shell over those things anyway. If I'm going to spend $280 on a jacket it's going to do it all, not some insulator jacket. Thats what t-shirts are for.
I will take a side, I have an incubator. it owns. I have owned every generic brand jacket, even the highest quality north face, and I will never give up my puffy for saving a little bit of $$. yes it is true, the material may tear, but it is made to be tear resistant, but what jackets arent really... ugh, main point is, if you love puffys, wear one, if you love to layer, get a shell, whatever
anyone interested in some rossi soft boots size 27.5? worn for 1 hour tops inside
yes american eagle. because i payed a third of the price you did for your jacket, and im just as warm and dry. all you need is a waterproof shell, warm layers take care of the rest.
