Sick iphone skiing app idea

what if there was an app for the iphone that showed trail maps for like every mountian and used gps to show u where u are on the map. It could even show u what trails and lifts are closed and what has good snow. maybe in a future NS app???

it could only work if it was open source and everyone that has an iphone on the mountain constantly updating live, so it would take a lot of dedication by the users, not the programmers. for example, once you ski a line you'l have to take your iphone out, find the line, then put in all the info from snow condiions to the difficulty.

actually, thee is another way to do it where you get all the resorts to put stuff they put on their website into the app every hour or something, but then It'll be easier to go to their website?

and besides, I don't think you'd get wifi on most mountains?

I dunno, it could work, but with a lot of dedication from both users and the mountains themselves.

the snow conditions would come from the mountian, like if you go to snocountry.com

as for wifi, iphone ppl just need internet service, not wifi

and other users being able to add stuff would be cool too, like ratings on parks

i know that there is a basic ski report one that you can get that shows how many trails and lifts are open etc.... but not sure how in depth it is... ur idea wud be sick tho

hahahahahahahhaa

they have the trail maps but not the gps thing

www.podpro.ca

has a ton of train maps for everywhere

The iphone really just needs a2dp so that you can use it to bluetooth the audio your helmet, headpones, or whatever. Off topic...but it's pissing me off.
