This guy lives down the street and he is arab and he hangs an IRaqi flag on his pole and a picture of the US with a big x through it! So me and my friends went there one night tore down the flag and spray painted USA on it and all over his house saying go home fuck and other shit, then we raised the flag back up then busted his front windows and car doors and windows! Just thought i should prtoect my country here!

While I do believe that the Iraq had the freedom of speech to fly his flag, I think that he was dumb as shit to do so. While the government may protect your rights, that will not stop others from violating them. I feel that flying the Iraqi flag would be comperable to flying a Nazi flag w/ swastika during WWII or a USSR flag through the cold war. Anyone with half a brain would know that you can't blatently root for the people who are killing American soldiers oversees in a war. If that had happened down here the people inside whold most likely be beaten half to death and their house would probally be burned down. I am not saying I am proud of all the ignorant racists in the south, but it would happen. I think that these guys had it coming.

i know that it isnt right to go and fuck up someones house and car becuase they are flying a flag, but given the situation, the man from iraq should have known better than to fly the flag of his country and a flag of the country he was staying in with an X through it. that is just plain old stupididty. You do have a right to expres your opinion, but you are limited in the ways you can express it. That is a pure and simple hate crime. There is absolutely no excuse. Sure, he shouldn't have flown an american flag with an X through it, but i see absolutely no problem flying an Iraqi flag, if he is in fact Iraqi. SmokinSkier is now the person I hate on this site the most.

Oh, and BigJ-Flying an Iraqi flag is in no way comperable to flying a Nazi flag during WWII. The Nazis were exterminating people by the millions all over Europe, whereas the Iraqis didnt even want us to come to their country.

I was just makign the point that the Flag was not acceptable. This is an epitomic example of a hate crime, and it sickens me that people could try to justify it. This guy had a perfect right to display his flag on his private property, and even to express his dissatisfaction by defacing the American one. Sure, it's disrespectful, and should provoke criticism, BUT NOT ASSAULT, NOT DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, Not illegal activities. These people are as bad as the Iraqis killing off Americans in what they call 'self defense' on the other side of the pond. Those terrorists counter mortal force with mortal force. And I am glad that there are people in this nation who still care about America it self, and have pride for their nation, and don't let anyone make a mockery of it and pull for a nation that is home to a group of people who are killing our troops. It's one thing to have pride in your nation and another to execute an unprovoked attack. And that attack WAS unprovoked. I'm sorry that you find it offensive, but there's no law against it, and as long as it isn't infringing on anyone's liberties (and, again, it isn't) it's inexcusable to take any action against the person, especially an attack on them and their property. Argue with him, yell at him, do whatever you want nonviolently, but there is no excuse for doing things like this. I don't like Americans who trash on my country either, but I don't go around beating the crap out of them and keying their cars. I jusst argue with them.
