Its to make it look more crazy. If you saw a frusterated kid with a bucket of balls behind him finally making the shot, then it is not as entertaining. The kid in the video just slapped the ball around a bit and sunk the shot like it was nothing to him, which I find to be more impressive than the shed one, which shows the hoop surrounded by failed shots and shit.
