SIA Show moved to Denver in Jan. 2010

if it really is the same weekend as the x games that is sad. i was gonna go to SIA but its snowdown in durango. cant miss that

The BroBomb team will be there and has challenged the SkiTheEast clown shoes to a Hot WIng eating contest.

I should be headed back in late February, and since I wrote that article I've had a few offers of local-knowledge tourguides to show me the good places. I'll definitely write a followup article from that angle...but if Reno Pizza is what you western crazies call a good pizza, that shit is rough.

I'll make a point to get that burger though...a good burger can truly turn an entire trip around.

Not sure the Pizza in Reno is anything to get excited over. I'm the everything back east is way better.
However, next time your in Reno, get some sushi!!!! You'll find this hard to believe, but Reno is THE sushi hotspot. All you can each Sushi for $18 and it is very good and good quality. That and a burger one night will leave you a happy camper.

The ironic part about that is Las Vegas Ski Resort is equally as close as any of the Summit County resorts. However, it don't think anyone could claim that it compares on any level. Nevertheless, I think the terrain above the lift would really surprise some folks.

That is exactly what my next comment was about to be. I found out about this right after last years SIA from a friend who was a rep and he was dumbfounded considering it's just as close as Denver. I also think it's silly cause the party videos aren't gonna be as awesome and we're not gonna get to see hammered reps trying to explain new products to people. . . .wait!

This is the ski industry, everyone will still be hammered.

I love skiing.

I kind of thought that's what you were hinting...... haha. We actaully cruised up to the Vegas Ski Bowl last year during SIA and I was pretty surprised after having very very low expectations. I mean it is still pretty ghetto, but I didn't expect such steep and gnarly terrain an hour out of vegas. It as also butt-fucking cold!!!
Vegas was perfect for the drunk debauchery that makes SIA so special. I'm interested to see what will happen this year in good old Denver. Either way though, you're right, there will still be plenty of drinking going on.
