the kgb's are dope..they ski a little bit better than the stealths in my opinion...they have the same dope pop, but a little bit softer
 
yes, the old skis had a metal plate that was way too stiff for butter. The new KGB has the FRP plate which is much more flexy but still does the job of keeping the skis stable and allowing super butter steeze.
 
is the base material on these the industry norm? they seem really brittle..mine just basically shattered, and ive never seen a ski base do that before
 
^ i had the exact same problem. about 2 feet of endge ripped out, and the topsheet started to curl up the sidewall, and the base just got worn away within a few rail slides. And it sorta cracks. like, there are cracks in it, and you can just break the pieces off.
 
yeah, the base material in the pro-twins and KGB modelsis P-Tex 900, which is better than industry standard. We are upgrading to P-Tex 2000 for next year; it's much faster.

We are also upgrading the edges. They will resist cracking much more than the current edges due to better elasticity and even more hardness.

We're working on testing a new epoxy/resin system for better bonding and more resiliency when strained.

One of the main reasons we give you all skis is to test them. The skis you get are samples, and samples are made for testing.

We look at the wear and tear and use that info to make a better product.
 
im sorry to say these skis need alot of work..i straight aired one jump on them today in pc and on a completely normal landing the whole tip cracked apart even with rivets and the whole edge around the tip peeled out...that was just one jump on them..yikes
 
Yeah, they are all samples. They're getting tweaked before production. As I mentioned, we're concentrating on the new base and edges.
