Shutter life

i haven't really researched or looked into what my cameras shutter life is, but im still curious

i have been shooting a lot of timelapses as of recent, each one about 3-4k photos on average. i know i am no where near the end of my 7d's shutter life, but does anyone know what the average shutter life for the 7d is? id say iv'e shot nearly 20k photos in the last couple weeks with timelapses alone, and ive had this camera for almost a year now.

has anyone experienced problems with the shutter as they keep using it year after year. i insured my camera so im not worried about problems, just more curious. thanks

i didn't really know they were "rated" exactly, but its good to know that it hopefully lasts longer than that

yeah i believe the 7d is rated to 150k clicks, and you can find out how many youve shot somehow, i forgot though, look it up

The shutter doesn't click on every frame man, it opens up, video=/= stills on a dslr. Every time you turn on video mode it counts as 1 click of the shutter.
