Shrinking a hat

alright so i bought a New Era baseball hat, and its 100% cotton, but its a little roomy, so i was thinking about shrinking it. should i just run it through a cycle in the washer on warm water with no soap, and then just stick it in the dryer for a few minutes or so? i would get a smaller size but the one i got is the smallest and its a sickk hat so i dont want something else

whatever you do, don't wash it on hot unless you want the colors to fade... Ive never heard of someone "shrinking" a hat... good luck with that

well it doesnt need to shrink that much, just tighten up a little. i know the ones that are 100% wool all you have to do is get it wet, put it on, and it tightens up to your head size, but since this one is cotton i figured the dryer might help it a little.

just wet it and put it in the dryer. i dont know about hats. but i think i had a hat, and the washer wrecked the beak on it

soak it in hot water and wear it untill it dries, it will shrink to your head size.
