Of all things that go overlooked here in this forum one of the most profound could be skipped. I don't know if any of you heard but yesterday news came out of Iraq that the leader of the Iraqi governing council along with his posse with killed in a car bombing outside of a checkpoint in Baghdad. The insurgents basically killed the appointed leader of Iraq. This ultimately proves that not only are the insurgents against the U.S. but also a stabilized country that is run by their own government. What is wrong here?

okay there is something to be said about installed governments. stabilitation?! no. people don't like it when an unfamiliar assertive outside force steps in and rearranges their country. this isn't a rejection of stability. this is a rejection of america and their impedeing colinization. i'm not suprised in the fucking slightest that this has happened. theres no mystery here. you see no matter the state of your country, there is a level of pride that has to be considered. forceful installation is not the way to go. the middle east for the most part does not respect the united states and with plenty of reason to do so. they are fundamentally different.

the only girl i've ever loved was born with roses in her eyes. but then they buried her alive one evening in 1945 with just her sister at her side and only weeks before the guns all came and rained on everyone. now she's a little boy in spain playing pianos filled with flames on empty rings around the sun.

It's not 'their government'.

We basically went in there, and gave them a new government. To them, that's the equivalent of somone coming into the USA, killing Bush and his entire cabinet, and putting Saddam Hussein in office instead.

Rightfully elected presidents have been assassinated before... I'm sure Saddam wouldn't remain president for very long.
