I think my 08/09 salomon dumonts are in the worst shape a ski can be in without being snapped.Looks like someone went to town on the edges with the backside of a hammer. Last time I used them I tore a piece of the base apart from the core, not chipped, like peeled it off with the rail. The screws have also rusted out on one of the heel pieces so it wobbles. I don't even use them for street anymore.

well if the bases are still fine you could try putting a shit ton of epoxy where it's cracked but I doubt it'll hold very well. there aren't many ways to fixed a snapped ski that I know of.since its just the tip though you don't need it to be rock solid, be careful with it though

Back in 2001(i think?) I went through around 7 pairs of skis. 4 brand new twin tips (Rossi Poe airs X2, volkl v's, salomon 1080s) plus a few old straight skis I was using while in between park skis. A personal best! Head mad trix and moment Bibbys are the only skis in the past 15 years I haven't been able to break.

No picture, but the line skogens (green with the bombs on them) were haggard as fuck but were still usable. Delammed, lots of edge missing, but were great for urban and non-icy park days.
